Lung Health Awareness Month
November is Lung Health Awareness Month and this year, we will be focusing on reducing the stigma associated with lung disease to help increase awareness, funding and support. We will undertake a range of activities across a number of disease areas and there will be many ways you can get involved, including:
Shine a Light on Lung Cancer
November is also International Lung Cancer Awareness Month which is a great opportunity for you to help shine a light on the inequalities in lung cancer by holding your own Shine a Light on Lung Cancer event. These events unite lung cancer survivors, family and friends, health professionals and researchers as one resilient voice in support of earlier diagnosis and treatment, better patient outcomes and more research funding.
World COPD Day
As part of World COPD Day on Wednesday 15 November we are encouraging patients and health professionals to hold an activity to help showcase the many faces of COPD and raise awareness about the symptoms, risks and treatment. Events could include a community walk and pharmacy displays/information stands. You will be able to register your event and access promotional resources and support via our website from 1 September.
