Dr Tanya Plant
Dr Tanya Plant is a Rhodes Scholar, mother and farmer. She has a background in science, a doctorate from the University of Oxford and several years’ experience in both industry and policy. After a coal mine moved in next door to her family farm where 3 generations of her family live, and has sought further expansions, she has engaged with various government and company representatives about dust, noise and other issues over an extended period. Through her experiences she has gained an understanding of deficiencies in both project assessment and government regulation of operational projects.
