As a carer for my COPD suffering husband I didn’t know whether his disease or his change in mental attitude was more concerning. I needed help as I was unable to cope with the anger I saw in my very gentle husband. Firstly I spoke to our GP and following a joint consultation he listened to what could have created this anger and suggested my husband could benefit from some psychological help. My husband agreed and she helped him immensely and remained a nice friend right up to his demise.
She is now helping me through a dreadful void, some eight months on. My best advice to anyone else is to speak to your GP and follow their recommendations.
