Debra Sandford, Clinical Psychologist and PHD candidate at The University of Adelaide, will present on the range of emotions that can be experienced when living with a chronic lung disease, the impact this has and some strategies to help manage these emotions
Benefits of exercise and chronic lung disease
Nick Martin, Physiotherapist from Flinders Medical Centre, will provide an overview on the benefits of exercise for individuals with chronic lung disease and discuss how exercise can help manage breathlessness.
Update on thoracic cancer
Mel Laan, Lung Cancer Nurse Consultant from Royal Adelaide Hospital, will discuss general updates on lung cancer including new treatment options such as immunotherapy, targeted therapy and the importance of managing side effects of treatment early. Lung cancer patients will also share their perspectives of living with lung cancer.
