Parliamentary Friends of Lung Health Event: Understanding is rare. Lung disease is not.

Cocktail and canapes
Venue: Senate Alcove, Parliament House, Canberra.
RSVP: Thursday 19 October to lfaevents@lungfoundation.com.au.

One Australian dies every hour from lung cancer, making it the leading cause of cancer death in Australia; more than breast, prostate and ovarian cancers combined.

Join us with Lung Foundation Australia for the release of their latest research which reveals the true extent of the stigma surrounding lung disease and the devastating impact it is having on those affected, particularly those with lung cancer. Australians from all walks of life are not only living with lung disease, but feel isolated and discriminated against.

As part of Lung Health Awareness Month in November, Lung Foundation Australia is working to break down the stigma and increase awareness and support for those living with this neglected disease.

The list of event speakers will be announced shortly.

Judgement is never a cure. But understanding is a step towards one.
