Understanding COVID-19 Webinar: Q&A session for people living with bronchiectasis

Speakers: Dr Lucy Morgan and Dr Lucy Burr

As the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, Lung Foundation Australia aims to address the questions of our community. This webinar aims to address the questions and concerns of those living with bronchiectasis and will provide information on how to improve and maintain health during the pandemic.

Speaker biographies

Dr Lucy Morgan is a Respiratory Physician based in NSW. She is a senior staff specialist in the department of Respiratory Medicine at Concord Hospital and Nepean Hospital. In addition to this, she is chair of the Australasian Bronchiectasis Consortium and the clinical lead for the Australian Bronchiectasis Registry project. Lung Foundation Australia is fortunate to have Dr Morgan as a member of its Board and is grateful for the contribution she makes to the Lung Foundation Australia community.

Dr Lucy Burr is the Director of Respiratory, Cystic Fibrosis and Sleep Medicine, at the Mater Health Services, Brisbane. Upon completing medical training at King’s College London, Lucy undertook further study in Australia, completing her PhD in bronchiectasis at the University of Queensland. She is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, an author of over 14 scientific publications and her research is currently focused on improving the care and outcomes of patients with both Cystic Fibrosis and bronchiectasis. Dr Burr is a core member of the Australian Bronchiectasis Consortium.
