Leave a Lasting Legacy

Thank you for thinking of Lung Foundation Australia in your gift giving. A special legacy gift is a powerful way to provide ongoing support and enable real change to the lives of people affected by lung disease.

Your legacy gift to Lung Foundation Australia is a generous and worthy investment in the future of lung disease – and a very personal commitment by you to assist Lung Foundation Australia to continue our work. If you are considering leaving a legacy gift, please read our commitment to you and guidelines below, and always consult a solicitor for legal.

Our commitment to you:

We promise to respect your privacy at all times. You can remain anonymous in your legacy gift if you choose, though we always appreciate the opportunity to thank our generous gift givers. You can let us know who you are via the Intention Form.

We know it can be a decision that everyone needs to make. Your family and friends come first. We encourage you to discuss your decision with everyone, and we 100% support this.

We understand change of mind. Life can change, we know that. We respect any change of mind decisions.

We will involve you all the way. If you want to be involved – you will be warmly connected to the organisation through our various events, as well as kept informed via key figures of the organisation.

We commit to our cause. We welcome your wishes in terms of where your funding goes. If it is, however, an unrestricted gift, we promise to use legacy funding for the greatest impact, and remain, as always, committed to our cause of supporting everyone affected by lung disease and working to build a better future for them.

A legacy gift is a planned current or future donation to a charity, given through a Will or other form of designation. It is a decision that each person makes in their own financial planning process, taking into account their charitable wishes and values.

Lung Foundation Australia has been fighting lung disease for more than 25 years.  We are the only national charity in Australia dedicated to supporting anyone with any lung disease.

Legacy gifts play a vital role in enabling better outcomes today, and in the future for Australians living with lung disease.

We all want to feel that we’ve contributed something that will last beyond our own lifetime – a lasting footprint that will be remembered by those whose lives you touched.

By making a legacy gift to Lung Foundation Australia you are leaving a lasting legacy that will help change the future for people with a lung disease.

Your special gift will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of:

  • Support and education services for people with lung disease, their families and carers.
  • Life-changing research into the prevention, treatment and cure for lung disease.
  • Advocacy for fair and equal access to care, treatment and research.
  • Lung health programs working to increase prevention and early detection.

There are two ways you can make a legacy gift to Lung Foundation Australia:

1. You can donate a major gift during your lifetime
