Registration and abstracts open for the third Biennial Australian Rare Lung Disease Short Course

Lung Foundation Australia, together with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) is hosting the third Australian Rare Lung Disease short course from 18 – 19 August in Sydney. The short course will provide the latest evidence-based information for health professionals about the latest in real world diagnosis and therapy for Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and the latest in scientific research into ILD.

The program will highlight key topics including Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) in 2017, interesting case studies and looking into the future. The program also boasts a selection of Australian specialists and keynote presentations from international speaker A/Prof David Lederer, <insert profession> from University of Columbia, New York.

Health professionals also have the opportunity to submit poster and oral abstracts on any topic relevant to interstitial, orphan or rare lung disease and their multi-disciplinary treatment. The deadline for these abstracts has been extended until 31st May. Through a research grant from Actelion, Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to offer two travel grants for those submitting an abstract on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) of $500 each.
