COVID-19: Advice for people living with Pulmonary Fibrosis

Fact sheet

The COVID-19 pandemic changed everyone’s life in 2020 making us adapt to new ways of living. The population has been well informed about the dangers of the virus but there was lack of specificity of who met the criteria of being at risk and how those with a medical condition continue to manage their condition but in isolation.

Lung Foundation Australia developed a range of resources for those living with lung conditions and specifically for those with Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF)about how to stay safe during the pandemic.
This fact sheet covers:

  • How the disease is spread
  • What to do if you suspect you have COVID-19
  • How you can reduce your risk of contracting the virus
  • Managing your condition.

For further detailed information about PF you can access the Life with Pulmonary Fibrosis booklet found here or contact our Information and Support Centre on 1800 654 301.
