This course is designed to give the DIY home renovator basic knowledge about asbestos, and the risks and safe practices when working with, or removing, small amounts of asbestos-containing material. If you are looking to renovate (painting to removing asbestos) this course will be invaluable.
By completing the course, participants will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to identify when and where asbestos and asbestos-containing material may be present, the precautions that need to be taken if it is present and reporting procedures that are required.
This course teaches participants how to recognise workplace health and safety risks and hazards while working with crystalline silica containing products, and how to determine and plan for the implementation of safe systems of work aimed at reducing exposure to within mandatory exposure limits.
