Imagine coming to work every day knowing you’re making a real difference in the lives of people with lung disease and lung cancer in Australia. We’re looking for passionate and motivated people who share our values to join our growing team.

Who we are

At Lung Foundation Australia, we’re proud to be Australia’s most trusted organisation for information and support about lung health, lung disease, and lung cancer.

For over 35 years, we’ve supported people with lung disease and lung cancer and learned from their lived experience. Their understanding and insights are the backbone of all that do, from support to advocacy, research and education.

We recently delivered our strategic 5-year plan for 2025 and saw incredible growth in our brand, influence, funding, and reach. Now, we’re focused on our next 5-year plan, with a bold new strategy to transform the lung health of all Australians.

We’re also proud to be recognised as a great place to work! We’ve been named NGO of the Year twice (2020, 2023) at the PRIME Awards, and we’ve won a Best Workplace Award at the XRef Engage Awards for the past 3 years in a row.

It’s a fantastic time to join our team and help us make a real difference in the lives of people living with lung disease and lung cancer. Please contact our People and Culture team to learn more. You can email us at careers@lungfoundation.com.au.

Our recruitment process

We’re always on the lookout for passionate people who want to make a real difference.

When we have new job openings, we advertise them on Seek, LinkedIn, or sometimes through a recruitment partner. You can apply through these websites or email us directly at careers@lungfoundation.com.au.

To apply, please submit a brief cover letter and your current resume. These documents help us understand your background and why you are interested in joining our team.

If your application stands out, we’ll contact you for a brief phone call. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you, and for you to gain a better understanding of the job and what comes next.

After that, you may be invited to an interview with a manager and a representative from our People and Culture team. For some jobs, you may have a second interview to discuss your skills further and determine if you’re a good fit.

Before we offer anyone a job, we’ll ask for professional referees whom we can contact about your past work.

We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer. This means we welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+, to apply.
