Webinar 1: Living Well with COPD
Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to present a two-part consumer webinar series designed to give people living with COPD, their families, and carers an inside look into key insights shared by the nation’s leaders in COPD at their inaugural Australian COPD Symposium.
These free webinars bring together leading researchers and healthcare professionals to explore practical and evidence-based approaches to understanding, managing, and living well with COPD. Across the two sessions, attendees will hear expert insights on self-management, pulmonary rehabilitation, breathlessness, mental health, sleep, and coordinated care, alongside opportunities to ask questions.
This session explores the broader challenges that can come with living with COPD and other health conditions, including mental health and sleep.
Topics include:
- Coordinated care when managing multiple health conditions
- Advocating for yourself across GPs, specialists, and allied health providers
- The relationship between breathlessness, anxiety, and emotional wellbeing
- Understanding grief, stigma, and identity changes associated with chronic illness
- Sleep disruption in COPD and practical strategies to improve sleep and night-time breathing
- Live Q&A opportunities with clinicians and presenters
Registrations are free, and a recording of the webinar will be made available to all registered attendees following the session.
