Making a Will online

Suggested wording for your Will

If you’re thinking about including Lung Foundation Australia in your Will, here is some suggested wording you can use. It’s always a good idea to get professional legal advice to make sure your Will is exactly as you want it to be.

I, (insert name here), bequeath to Lung Foundation Australia (ABN 36 051 131 901) for its general purposes: 

(Choose and insert the appropriate statement from the list below)

  • the whole of my estate
  • (insert number)_____% percent of my estate
  • the residue of my estate (or ….% of the residue of my estate)
  • the amount of $_______ (insert the value of your gift in cash)
  • my _________ (insert name of asset e.g. shares, house)

free of all duties, and the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, or other authorised officer for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the Executor(s).
