Our ‘Lung Cancer Scorecard 2023’ that highlights progress and compares outcomes between Australia’s most common cancers. Whilst we can celebrate significant progress in lung cancer following the announcement of a lung cancer screening program in the 2023 federal budget and government investment in specialist lung cancer nurses, research and support for lung cancer remains devastatingly low. Current funding for lung cancer does not match its burden and is not equitable. There is more to be done and Lung Foundation Australia will continue to shine a light on lung cancer.
