Mind Matters Series – Soften, Sooth, Allow

Lung Foundation Australia’s Mind Matters series, presented by Tracie Story, a dedicated Social Worker, Counsellor, and Therapist, is designed to support your mental health through a series of five insightful videos. Each video focuses on teaching you effective calming techniques to help manage stress and anxiety.

In our final Mind Matters video, Tracie will guide you through the “soothe, soften, and allow” process. This technique is particularly useful for dealing with difficult situations where you might feel stuck or overwhelmed. By learning to soothe your mind, soften your approach to challenges, and allow yourself to experience and process emotions, you can navigate tough times with greater ease and resilience.
These videos cover a range of topics and techniques, all aimed at enhancing your mental well-being. Whether you’re dealing with everyday stress or more significant mental health challenges, these resources can provide valuable support and guidance.

Additionally, if you have any questions or need further information about your lung disease, our Information & Support Centre is here to help. You can reach out to us at 1800 654 301. Our team is ready to provide you with the information and support you need to manage your condition effectively. You can speak with an experienced Lung Foundation Respiratory Care Nurse or Social Worker who can support you to live well with your lung disease.

Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as managing your physical health. The Mind Matters series is here to help you build a toolkit of strategies to support your overall well-being. Work your way through the whole series to learn techniques to support your mental wellbeing when you are living with a lung disease. Don’t hesitate to reach out for support and make use of the resources available to you. Your mental health matters, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.
