Digital Inhaler Device Technique Training

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Free e-learning
Free

Back by popular demand, Lung Foundation Australia’s Inhaler Device Technique Training is now accepting enrolments for live, nurse-led sessions. The program has been reinvigorated with the latest in evidence-based best practice and internationally recognised models of care.

Now optimised for virtual delivery, you can complete the training from the comfort of work or home. Led by two Respiratory Nurse Instructors, these interactive 90-minute sessions are limited to 10 participants, covering:

  • Evidence-based strategies for selecting suitable inhalers for individual patients.
  • Correct use of each inhaler device available in Australia used for the treatment of asthma and/or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
  • The guideline-recommended approach to demonstrating inhaler technique to patients.
  • Common and critical errors made by patients for each inhaler device.

Participants will receive a placebo inhaler kit with 10 demonstration devices for use during the training, and to keep for use when discussing device technique with patients.
