Join us for Lung Foundation Australia’s insightful webinar on managing bronchiectasis, recorded on July 5th, 2023, in honour of World Bronchiectasis Day. This special event features a panel of both patients and clinicians who share their lived experiences and expert clinical insights on managing bronchiectasis through the seasons.
The webinar begins with an introduction by Zoe Wilkinson, who acknowledges the traditional owners of the land and outlines the webinar’s theme. Zoe then introduces Kylie, a consumer advocate living with bronchiectasis, who leads the session.
The panel includes Bonnie, Shaun, Lucy, Rachel, and Lissa, each sharing their backgrounds and experiences. The webinar addresses pre-submitted questions from the community, covering topics such as the impact of allergies and hay fever on bronchiectasis, risk factors, the management of bronchiectasis with NTM (nontuberculous mycobacteria), medications and treatments, managing reflux symptoms, and the effect of respiratory viruses on bronchiectasis exacerbations.
The session also features a live Q&A segment, where participants can submit questions via the Zoom Q&A function. Zoe moderates the questions, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate panellist. This interactive format allows for a comprehensive discussion on various aspects of living with bronchiectasis.
The webinar recording is available on-demand via Lung Foundation Australia’s Resource Hub, YouTube channel, and featured in the Hope in Every Breath consumer newsletter. It is also shared on social media channels, ensuring easy access for all.
