Hear from expert occupational hygienist and engineer, Kate Cole OAM, on all things silica dust. In this video, learn about what silica dust is, what you can be doing to protect yourself and how control measures are used to reduce silica dust in the workplace. Kate Cole provides a deeper understanding on identifying silica dust, how working with silica containing materials can go wrong. She also provides examples to each level of the Hierarchy fo Controls when working with silica containing materials. Kate also provides vital information about health monitoring and air monitoring. This webinar was developed as part of a suite of resources for our National Silicosis and Prevention Awareness Campaign that Lung Foundation Australia facilitates on an annual basis during National Safe Work Month.
