This is an interactive 6 – 8 hour online training program designed to increase the knowledge and confidence of health professionals in the delivery of evidence-based, best practice pulmonary rehabilitation.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the role and benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation for people with chronic respiratory conditions.
- Identify appropriate participants for pulmonary rehabilitation and conduct a comprehensive patient assessment.
- Design and deliver culturally safe, inclusive, individualised exercise and education interventions that address the needs of diverse populations.
- Understand different PR modes of delivery, and apply knowledge of staffing, equipment, population characteristics, and service contexts to select the most suitable mode of delivery
- Monitor participant outcomes, undertake re-assessment, and support discharge and ongoing self-management.
