This poster is one of two that have been developed for tradies who use vapes. The two newly developed posters aim to be a safety messages, displayed on worksites, and provide crucial information regarding the health risks of using vapes. Both posters provide information about Quitline services that are available to support anyone looking to quit vape use.
Lung Foundation Australia also developed a three-part series of infographics that aim to educate around the health risks and dangers of using vapes. This three-part infographic series has been developed for any tradies who use vapes. In Episode 1 of this infographic series, information was provided about the hidden dangers of vapes, identifying some of the chemicals found to be inside. Episode 2 aims to provide context relevant to tradies, about the risks if you are adding vaping to the mix of potential exposures and lung hazards. This infographic also identifies some symptoms that is commonly seen for those with lung damage from vape use. Episode 3 empowers any tradie who is thinking of quitting vapes. This infographic aims to educate and highlight the positives impact quitting vape use will have on your body. Not only will you physically improve, but other aspects of your life will improve if you quit vapes, and this resource identifies some of these. All three resources provide information on Quitline services that are available to support you on your journey to quit vapes.
Lung Foundation Australia developed these resources with support from the Queensland Government. These resources were also developed utilising feedback from young tradies as well as experts in the field. In addition to the three-part infographic series, Lung Foundation Australia also developed two animation videos, and two posters. These resources have been developed to complement and provide the same messaging around the health risks of using vapes, what supports there are available and the benefits of quitting using vapes.
