Professor Sarath Ranganathan is Stevenson Chair, Head of Department of Paediatrics and Academic Director for Clinical Education Strategy and Risk at the University of Melbourne. He is also a paediatric respiratory physician and ex-Director of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Head of Respiratory Diseases Research at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Melbourne. Sarath is an elected Fellow of the American Thoracic Society and the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand. Professor Ranganathan ‘s areas of expertise include Cystic Fibrosis, paediatric asthma, allergy, paediatric bronchoscopy, tuberculosis and lower respiratory tract infection. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and raised over $50 million in research funding.
