Mind Matters Series – Grounding

Mind Matters Series – Grounding

Lung Foundation Australia’s Mind Matters series, presented by Tracie Story, a dedicated Social Worker, Counsellor, and Therapist, is designed to support your mental health through a collection of five insightful videos. Each video focuses on teaching you various calming techniques to help you manage stress and enhance your overall well-being.

In the first video of the Mind Matters series, Tracie will introduce you to grounding techniques. Grounding is a practice that helps you stay connected to the present moment, reducing feelings of anxiety and stress. By focusing on your physical environment and sensations, you can bring your mind back to the here and now. This technique is particularly useful for those moments when you feel overwhelmed or disconnected.

Each video offers unique strategies and insights to help you cultivate a sense of calm and balance in your daily life. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, or just looking for ways to improve your mental health, these videos are a valuable resource.

Additionally, if you have any questions or need further information about your lung disease, our Information & Support Centre is here to help. You are welcome to contact us at 1800 654 301. Work your way through the whole series to learn techniques to support your mental wellbeing when you are living with a lung disease.
