The Australian Cancer Plan, the first national cancer plan for Australia, will set priorities for reform for the next decade. The Plan is coordinated by Cancer Australia (an agency of the Australian Government) and will be released in the second quarter of 2023. Lung Foundation Australia has informed the development of the Plan throughout 2022. Our key recommendation is that smoking cessation must be at the core of cancer prevention efforts.
