Alongside her 30-year career as a corporate affairs executive for global brands and companies, Melissa has been a leading advocate for patient-centred health care and medical research.
She has held a range of roles including founding Chair of the Royal Children’s Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust, Director Advocacy and Engagement of the Consumers Health Forum and GM Strategic Relations, South Eastern Melbourne PHN.
In 2025, Melissa was appointed as a Director of the VCCC Alliance, representing 12 leading health care and research institutions. She has served as the Chair of the alliance’s Cancer Consumer Advisory Committee since 2023.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Principal of MLM Consulting which advises health organisations on strategy, advocacy, consumer engagement and communications.
Melissa has served as Director of Lung Foundation Australia since 2019.
