CPD-accredited training for health professionals
This module explores the role of GPs in the ongoing management of people with silicosis, including monitoring, symptom management and coordinating care with other health professionals. GPs will learn how the My Silicosis Management Plan (MSMP) can be used to support patient-centred care, guide management and facilitate communication across the healthcare team.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the GP’s role in providing person-centred, long-term management for people living with silicosis using the My Silicosis Management Plan.
- Summarise the benefits of completing the My Silicosis Management Plan for patients living with silicosis.
- Outline ongoing care management strategies to monitor patients over time to optimise their health and quality of life.
This training is accredited with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for 30 minutes of Educational Activity (EA) and 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP).
