Reducing stigma and supporting priority populations in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program

Lung Cancer training
Webinar
Free

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program launched in July 2025 and is a major step toward reducing lung cancer-related illness and mortality in Australia. The program targets high-risk individuals and encourages participation in routine, low-dose CT screening to detect lung cancer early and improve health outcomes.

The program is an Australian Government initiative implemented by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing in partnership with Cancer Australia and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.

Join us for an exclusive webinar hosted by the Australian Government and Lung Foundation Australia to hear from our expert panel on supporting priority populations and reducing stigma to encourage participation in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

You will have the opportunity to ask our expert panel about your questions during the Q&A session! The webinar will also be available on demand from the following day; please register now for access to the recording.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify priority populations who may face barriers in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
  • Implement strategies to create safe, inclusive, and supportive practice environments that encourage participation in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
