The dramatic uptake of vaping over the past three years brings with it a novel set of challenges for the primary care workforce. With evidence still emerging, providing cessation support specific to the vaping context remains largely unchartered territory. General Practitioners and other primary care professionals have a vital role in this public health issue, reducing the disease burden associated with vaping, in an effort to prevent a new generation of Australians addicted to nicotine.
In collaboration with Gippsland PHN, Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to present breaking evidence to support your engagement in meaningful conversation with vape users of all ages. Our expert panel will focus on:
- Emerging evidence, trends, guidelines and research,
- Practical advice to deliver best-practice cessation support in the community including support
- Pathways and resources to support conversations, and
- A campaign update from Breathe Easy Gippsland on their advocacy work in the community.
