For your patients

Sections on this page

Lung Foundation Australia has a range of evidence-based services and resources that will enable your patients to better understand and manage their condition. Our services and resources are designed to support clinical treatment plans and help drive optimal health outcomes.

Discussing these resources with your patients can be a helpful way to raise and discuss their needs at each phase of their ILD diagnosis and care journey.

Patient resources

Lung Foundation Australia and the Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis have partnered to develop an extensive and growing suite of freely available educational resources and webinars for patients living with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). These resources have been curated and thoroughly reviewed by an expert panel to include international resources relevant to Australians impacted by ILD.

Support services and programs

Peer support

Lung Foundation Australia’s peer support programs enable meaningful connection for patients and carers across a range of different lung conditions, including ILD. Patients and carers can connect through different modes of peer support including virtual and face to face groups, as well as a one-on-one telephone support program.

Exercise programs

Research has shown that exercising is highly beneficial for people living with chronic lung disease. Find out more about pulmonary rehabilitation and Lungs in Action programs. Use the Service directory to find a location near you.
