The Ellipta is a type of dry powder inhaler (DPI). This means your medicine is delivered as a fine powder that you breathe in.
DPIs are breath-actuated, meaning you need to breathe in quickly and deeply to get the medicine into your lungs.

When is the Ellipta empty?
The inhaler is empty when the counter shows a zero. If you open and close the cover without inhaling the medicine, you lose the dose.

How do I clean and store the Ellipta?
Wipe the inhaler mouthpiece with a clean, dry tissue before closing the cover.
Do not wash any part of the inhaler or get it wet. Keep in a cool dry place below 30⁰C, away from moisture, heat or sunlight. Do not store it in the bathroom, near a sink or a window, or in the car.
Check the expiration date on your medicine. Write the date the inhaler should be discarded on the label in the space provided. Ask your pharmacist how to safely get rid of any medicine you don’t need.
