Earlier diagnosis protects the gift of breath.

One test. Twenty minutes. Three years too late…

For years, Jenna knew something wasn’t right, but her symptoms were dismissed.

By the time a simple test finally gave her answers, her condition had already progressed.

Living with pulmonary arterial hypertension has shown her the cost of delayed diagnosis, and the power of research to change outcomes.

Watch Jenna’s story to see why earlier listening matters, and how research can help ensure answers come sooner for the next person.

Sheryl just wants to breathe normally again

After living with asthma since childhood, 67-year-old Sheryl was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in 2014.

COPD makes every breath a struggle. But for people living with the disease, like Sheryl, research is opening new doors.

New treatments are being explored for people who continue to experience flare-ups despite standard therapy, with the aim of better managing the disease and reducing exacerbations.

Recently, Sheryl learned she is a suitable candidate for one of the emerging treatments – something she hopes could make a real difference in her breathing, her energy, and her ability to enjoy her daily life.

But these breakthroughs don’t happen overnight. They happen because of people like you help fund the research, trials and treatments that make real change possible.

“If it works I’ll be dancing in the streets. Literally dancing in the streets.”
