Australian COPD Symposium 2026: Dedicated Consumer Program – Part 1

June 24th, 2026
1:30pm – 3:00pm AEST

Webinar 2: Understanding and Managing Your COPD

Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to present a two-part consumer webinar series designed to give people living with COPD, their families, and carers an inside look into key insights shared by the nation’s leaders in COPD at their inaugural Australian COPD Symposium.

These free webinars bring together leading researchers and healthcare professionals to explore practical and evidence-based approaches to understanding, managing, and living well with COPD. Across the two sessions, attendees will hear expert insights on self-management, pulmonary rehabilitation, breathlessness, mental health, sleep, and coordinated care, alongside opportunities to ask questions.

This session focuses on understanding COPD management, reducing hospitalisations, and building confidence in day-to-day care.

Topics include:

  • What good COPD care looks like across your healthcare team
  • The role of self-management in improving quality of life
  • Why pulmonary rehabilitation and exercise are considered core parts of COPD treatment
  • Managing fear of breathlessness and staying active safely
  • Practical tools and techniques to manage breathlessness in the moment
  • Live Q&A opportunities with clinicians and presenters

Registrations are free, and a recording of the webinar will be made available to all registered attendees following the session.
