There are several ongoing work projects that coincide with the National Silicosis Prevention Strategy (NSPS) 2023-2028 and accompanying National Action Plan (NAP), including the National Dust Disease Taskforce Final Report to Minister for Health and Aged Care (June 2021), the All of Governments’ Response to the Final Report of the National Dust Disease Taskforce (June 2022) and Safe Work Australia’s Consultation Regulation Impact Statement – Managing the risks of respirable crystalline silica (June 2022). Each of these have been mapped against the Actions outlined in the National Action Plan.
This document is designed to assist you to understand how the various elements interact. It is important to acknowledge that the NSPS and NAP may compliment or contradict other elements of these projects.
