Lung disease affects 1 in 4 Australians1 and is responsible for 1 in 7 deaths2, however many people tend to ignore the signs and symptoms, often not doing anything about it for far too long. May marks Lung Health Awareness Month which is a national Lung Foundation Australia campaign aimed at raising awareness among the community about the importance of lung health and how to recognise and act upon the symptoms of lung disease. We are encouraging people to check in with their lung health by completing our two minute online lung health checklist. You can get involved and support this initiative by visiting lungfoundation.com.au/checkin and sharing the lung health checklist amongst your networks.
