Clinical trials play a key role in driving future changes and discoveries of treatments, cures and preventions. They determine if a new test, treatment or combination of treatments may work more effectively, improve quality of life and outcomes or stabilise or cure diseases in patients. People participate in clinical trials for a number of reasons and some of the key benefits include:
- Access to the newest treatments currently not widely available
- Contribute to a better understanding of their disease and helping others in the future
- Ability to play a more active role in their own healthcare
- A great way for patients to receive additional care from the clinical trial staff.
Clinical trials offer hope for many people who may have exhausted a number of other options already available to them. To find out more, contact us or visit clinicaltrials.gov.
