In collaboration with Lena Group and the University of Queensland, Lung Foundation Australia is delighted to invite you to the 8th World Bronchiectasis Conference (WBC) this July. It is our privilege to host this global event in Brisbane, marking its Southern Hemisphere debut.
WBC 2025 is your opportunity to hear from international and local experts on key topics around the complexities of bronchiectasis, from its causes and underlying mechanisms to innovative treatments. The multidisciplinary scientific program promotes engagement with cutting-edge research on genomics, diverse infections, the impact of environmental factors, and the latest therapeutic strategies.
This year’s conference theme, Diverse Lungs, Inclusive Solutions will focus on diverse international healthcare systems, comparison of diagnosis, management and treatment in different geographical regions, socioeconomic classes and disproportionately impacted priority populations.
We stand at the cusp of a new era for this international community. Bronchiectasis has emerged from its history as a neglected, orphan condition to emerge as a new, visionary speciality area where enthusiastic and dynamic researchers are shaping a rapidly progressing future.
We look forward to seeing you at the University of Queensland and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre for WBC 2025. For those who can’t make it in person, discounted virtual access is available.
