Lung Cancer Social Work Service

When you are first diagnosed with lung cancer and throughout the different phases of your treatment and recovery, it is normal to experience a range of emotions such as fear, sadness, anxiety, anger and frustration.

Our Lung Cancer Social Work program is a free telephone-based service for people living with lung cancer, and their family and carers. Through the service, our experienced social worker can help you or your loved one to navigate the practical and emotional impact of living with lung cancer.

We aim to empower you and arm you with information, support and referral pathways to help you live your best life. To arrange a free telephone appointment, please contact the Information and Support Centre on free call 1800 654 301 (option 3) or complete the form.

It was my daughter who suggested that there may be groups that could help me. Lung Foundation Australia was one of the groups that I reached out to. Having conversations with someone who understands what you are going through – the advice has been so beneficial to me."
