One-to-one peer support

A lung disease diagnosis can feel isolating. It can make all the difference to connect with someone who understands what it is like to live with your lung condition.

Our one-to-one Peer Connect service connects people living with or caring for someone with the same lung condition. It is a free, one-on-one telephone-based service which connects you with one of our volunteer Primary Peers. This provides you an opportunity to connect with someone, share experiences with each other, and gain more information about support services.

Conditions include:

  • Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM)
  • Bronchiectasis,
  • Lung cancer
  • Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF) – available through the support of the Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis

By joining the Peer Connect program you will be able to chat with a peer from the comfort of your own home and know that you are not alone. To express your interest in connecting with someone, please contact the Information and Support Centre on free call 1800 654 301 (option 3) or complete the form.
