Dear Members
The Board of Lung Foundation Australia (LFA) would like to notify members that ASIC has consented to LFA changing its auditor. As a result LFA has now accepted the resignation of Mazars Assurance Pty Limited.
Following a rigorous tender process, the Board selected HLB Mann Judd (SE QLD Partnership) as the successful tenderer and requested Mazars to resign. The request for Mazars to resign was not driven by any disagreements or issues between the company and the auditor, but rather, the appropriateness of periodic auditor rotation.
In accordance with Section 327c of the Corporations Act 2001, a resolution will be placed at the October 2022 Annual General meeting to ratify the appointment of HLB Mann Judd as LFA’s auditor.
The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mazars Assurance Pty Limited their assistance and professional service to LFA.
Mark Brooke
