This document defines passive tobacco smoke and e-cigarette emissions, details the evidence on health impacts of passive smoke/emissions and Australian legislation on smoke-free places, and provides Lung Foundation Australia’s recommendations
Our recommendations:
• Encourage all jurisdictions to prohibit alcohol consumption in outdoor smoking areas of liquor-licensed venues and extend the buffer zone between the smoking and non-smoking areas of the venue
• Encourage all jurisdictions to allow body corporates to make by-laws on smoking prohibitions in outdoor areas of multi-unit housing
