Peer support groups

Peer support groups bring patients and carers with similar experiences together to help each other cope with the challenges of living with a lung condition and encourage each other to live the best life possible. These groups provide a safe environment for people to feel heard and understood. To find a support group that’s right for you, complete the form on the right or free call 1800 654 301 (option 3).

Online Peer Support Groups

Our online peer support network lets you connect with others from across the country. Led by volunteer leaders with a lived experience of lung disease or lung cancer, the groups connect through a free online platform allowing you to meet others with a similar experience from the comfort of your own home. Join a friendly, safe and supportive environment to discuss and share experiences, resources, thoughts and feelings through group chats, one-on-one messaging, or group video calls.

In-person Peer Support Groups

Led by volunteers with a lived experience, our Face-to-Face groups meet in numerous locations across the country. The network includes general groups for anyone with a lung condition as well as groups for specific conditions.

"I was extremely heartened to know that what I was experiencing was exactly the same as others who were also diagnosed with IPF. Also I found it of immense benefit to discuss among us side effects which I too experience."
